For this holiday season, we will be offering the following items in line with our Eat Like a Human message:

Breads:

  • Sourdough Brioche Rolls | Nourishing and decadent sourdough rolls enriched with butter, eggs and milk | 6/12 roll packs

  • Rosemary Sourdough Focaccia Stuffing 12oz bag of cubed & dried focaccia ready to be mixed | This was a HUGE customer favorite for Thanksgiving so we are bringing it back

  • Tourte de Seigle | dark sourdough rye traditionally sliced thin and served with oysters or fish and white wine or Prosecco. Pairs perfectly with our Christmas Oyster Stew. They are traditionally served by weight so we are offering them in two sizes | full and half size loaf

Sweets:

  • Apple Cranberry Pie | made with Lockbriar apples, cranberries, warm holiday spices and lightly sweetened with muscovado sugar all set in our gluten-free, sourdough crust.

  • Ricotta Pie | made from our ricotta that we make from Nice Farms Creamery milk, sweetened with local maple syrup from Back Creek Farms and a dash of cinnamon, and baked in our gluten-free sourdough crust.

  • Gingerbread cookies | made using muscavado and molasses as sweetners, grains have been fermented through the sourdough process and we use the traditional leavening agent, hartshorn (AKA baker’s ammonia) because there was no baking soda around when gingerbread was invented (plus we can’t get our hands on red deer antler)

  • Modern Stone Age Kitchen traditional mincemeat pies | Yes, real mincemeat made with actual meat! The foundation of our mincemeat pies begins with Crow Farms suet and ground beef. Then we mix with apples, currants, citrus peels we candied with honey, brandy, Muscovado sugar and nutmeg. This marinates in the fridge to develop flavor before packing into sourdough puff pastry and baking. Local meat and fat, zero refined sugar, 100% wild, long fermented sourdough traditional mince meat pies.

Breakfast Items:

  • Monkey Bread | Sourdough Monkey Bread has been an annual part of Christmas morning for the Schindler Family since Bill and Christina were first married! This is a decadent treat made in the healthiest way possible. It comes in its own reusable Bundt pan ready to take out of the fridge and place directly into your oven Christmas morning.

  • Breakfast Casserole | Our Breakfast Casserole is a delicious and nourishing way to simplify your Christmas morning! It is loaded with chunks of sourdough bread, local eggs from Lockbriar Farms, homemade cheese, and our MSAK sage breakfast sausage we make from local Langenfelter Pork and Back Creek Maple Syrup and all you need to do is cook it in the morning

Soups, Sauces & Such
:

  • Oyster Stew | Serving Oyster Stew on Christmas Eve was a tradition started in the mid-nineteenth century by Irish Immigrants. Our oyster stew is chock full of local oysters from Orchard Point Oysters in a rich cream base. Pair with our Tourte de Seigle for the full experience

  • MSAK Cranberry Sauce | Traditional cranberry sauce spiced with cloves, cinnamon, allspice, and orange zest and sweetened with unrefined Muscavado sugar. We’ve been making this recipe since we were married 22 years ago and we are so excited to share it with you all. Packaged in a decorative glass container to serve right on your table. It’s a Thanksgiving fav too!

  • MSAK FERMENTED Cranberries 16oz | Probiotic rich, live fermented cranberry sauce spiced with ginger, cloves, cinnamon, allspice, and orange zest and lightly sweetened with maple syrup. This is our new live, probiotic rich twist on the cranberry sauce we have been making since we were married 24 years ago. Available in limited quantities since it takes 2 weeks to ferment.
