We’re thrilled to share that our scratch-made sourdough bread, fresh mozzarella cheese, and fermented butter were featured on CBS News Baltimore in honor of National Picnic Day!

The segment — which reached over 51 million viewers across the country — highlighted Maryland’s Best producers and celebrated local, artisanal food (including ours!). We’re proud to represent Chestertown and bring true nourishment to the table through time-honored techniques and incredible local ingredients.

A former educator of 20 years, Christina Schindler now applies her expertise in technology and systems to running Modern Stone Age as CEO, handling HR, accounting, marketing, and operations. She also serves as President of the MSA Food Lab, a nonprofit dedicated to a nourishing, ethical, and sustainable food system. Most importantly, she’s a mom to three busy young adults and the high-tech other half of Dr. Bill Schindler, keeping things running while he dives into the past.
